Dawnis Kennedy


Dawnis Kennedy, PhD(Candidate)

Joining the Shingwauk Educational team in September of 2009 for the Fall Semester, Dawnis has guest- lectured as part of her PhD dissertation research.  She is a Trudeau Scholar(find out more here) and a 1st Degree Miidewin in the Midewiwin Society.  She provides her keen understanding of Canadian Law and Anishinabe Law in today's Contemporary Society with every lecture.  She brings her Master's Level, and soon-to-be Doctoral education credentials in which Shingwauk Kinomage Gamig is proud to showcase to its students in the Anishinabe Studies Courses.  For more information on programs at Shingwauk, click here.









Crane Symbol

Shingwauk Kinoomaage Gamig was founded to fulfill the vision of Ojibway Chief Shingwauk. Chief Shingwauk belonged to the crane clan, he signed documents with this symbol.
